Job description

The Specialist II Immigration is responsible for managing and supporting all aspects of the company’s employment-based immigration program. This role ensures compliance with applicable immigration laws, provides guidance to internal stakeholders, and partners with legal counsel to facilitate smooth immigration processes for current and prospective employees.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITES :

Immigration Case Management

  • Manage and coordinate employment-based visa cases including H-1B, TN, L-1, O-1, PERM labor certifications, and green card processes.
  • Work closely with hiring managers and recruiters to assess immigration needs and timelines during the recruitment process.
  • Monitor visa status and expiration dates; ensure timely renewals and status changes.
  • Maintain immigration files and documentation in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with U.S. immigration laws, including I-9 completion, audits, and E-Verify participation.
  • Track and report immigration metrics and support audits or inquiries from regulatory agencies.

Develop and continuously improve immigration-related policies and procedures.

Immigration Point of Contact

  • Liaise with immigration attorneys to initiate, prepare, and review petitions and documentation.
  • Serve as the point of contact for employees on immigration-related matters; provide education and updates on process timelines

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Legal Studies, Business, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in employment-based immigration or HR with a focus on immigration.
  • Familiarity with immigration processes including H-1B, TN, L-1, PERM, I-140, I-485.
  • Knowledge of I-9 compliance and E-Verify regulations.
  • Experience working with external immigration counsel and vendors.
