Requirements : Completion of a Nuclear Medicine program and obtaining the ARRT-N and CNMT credential within 6 months of hire

    Job Summary :

    Under the supervision of Nuclear Medicine physicians and the Nuclear Medicine Manager, you will conduct theragnostic and Y-90 procedures utilizing diagnostic and therapeutic radionuclides. You will be responsible for executing various PET imaging procedures, delivering exceptional patient care, and administering targeted radiopharmaceuticals for PET imaging.

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform all Nuclear Medicine procedures along with required QA and QC tests (60% of time).
  • Adhere to established departmental policies, objectives, and quality assurance programs (5%).
  • Utilize hospital information systems effectively (5%).
  • Engage in ongoing education and certification opportunities (5%).
  • Attend required meetings and contribute to departmental goals (5%).
  • Ensure safety and infection control standards (5%).
  • Deliver excellent customer service, embodying the SSM Health values (5%).
  • Incorporate quality improvement initiatives into daily operations (5%).
  • Provide appropriate care tailored to the patient’s age and specific needs (5%).
  • Minimum Education : Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program

    Minimum Experience : Two years preferred

    Required Certification : Preferred certification with registry eligibility. Must be certified within 12 months of employment from either NMTCB or ARRT (N), along with BLS certification.

    Working Conditions : Exposure to blood, body fluids, and various biological hazards; potential exposure to ionizing radiation. Ability to deal with irregular working hours and stressful situations.

    Physical Requirements : Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Must be able to lift and move over 100 pounds, including patients and radiographic equipment.
