Marketing Manager Role at Old National Event Plaza

The Marketing Manager supports the Old National Event Plaza’s Marketing Department by leading marketing initiatives that align with the venue's business development goals. Responsibilities include internal and external communications, customer service, and marketing tasks to increase venue awareness and promote events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead marketing initiatives including branding updates, target market e-blasts, website monitoring, social media management, and promotional updates.
  • Partner with the Director of Sales to develop social media strategies and profiles.
  • Assist in content development, planning, and analytics reporting.
  • Manage communications calendars for internal and external messaging.
  • Design and edit content using Adobe programs for digital and print media.
  • Develop advertising and promotional materials to promote the venue and increase sales.
  • Support venue Directors in developing marketing strategies for additional business opportunities like sponsorships and internal events.
  • Manage promoter needs for entertainment events to ensure success.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales on Venue Sales and Marketing Plans.
  • Execute marketing activities aligned with the marketing plan objectives.
  • Report on marketing activities to support departmental goals.
  • Work with the General Manager on professional development and set professional goals.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities within the department.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field preferred. Minimum 2 years of marketing experience required. Industry experience is a plus.

Skills and Abilities

Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Computer Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required; Adobe Creative Suite preferred; experience with email marketing tools like Constant Contact is beneficial.

Other Qualifications

Ability to work irregular hours and travel for professional development as needed.

Physical Demands

Must be able to move around the facility, stand for long hours during events, and work indoors or outdoors as required.
