The Fractional CFO would report to the CEO and be an integral member of the senior management team. This position would be a 2–3 day per week position that would have an office in Dexter, MI, at our Corporate Headquarters. As the Fractional CFO, he / she will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and evaluating overall corporate strategy with the CEO and leaders of business units with emphasis on bottom‑line performance, working capital, and technological systems. This position will provide useful financial insights to help make better decisions about formulating and executing strategy. We are looking for someone who has experience with mergers and acquisitions, ERP implementation, equity plans and strategy, and cash flow analysis.
Position Function
Essential Functions
- Define the corporate financial strategy, manage financial capital and communicate capital requirements / implications of business decisions to CEO and senior management staff.
- Conduct meaningful proactive analysis to improve key business decisions focusing on management of working capital, use of financial vehicles, and others.
- Grow equity value — increase gross profit and reduce debt. Ensure efficient capital expenditures and minimize taxes.
- Provide useful financial insights to help make better decisions about formulating and executing business strategy.
- Maintain market awareness of industry trends, opportunities and turns.
- Establish internal control processes required to manage and grow the business.
- Assisting team in implementation of new ERP system.
- Effectively lead the finance / accounting team by developing and coaching existing team and by hiring and retaining top‑grade talent when needed.
- Develop and implement a financial risk management policy.
- Effectively manage financial relationships with banks.
- Lead and assist with any mergers and acquisitions.
- Oversee legal issues if applicable.
- Structure, negotiate, and finalize purchase agreements.
Education
Bachelor's degree in business or finance, MBA is preferred.Position Qualification Requirements
