Accounting Manager

Job Summary :

The Accountant is responsible for the management and reporting of financial data. Their duties include preparing financial statements, examining and analyzing company's accounts and ensuring compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures.

Duties / Responsibilities :

• Performs all general accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
• Prepares periodic (monthly) balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements for all companies and perform consolidation quarterly.
• Maintains the general ledgers and all sub ledgers.
• Codes invoices, sets up new accounts (customers and vendors), reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
• Reconciles bank and credit card accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
• Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections.
• Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
• Payroll authorization processing and related journal entries
• Files required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
• As appropriate, coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software system; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
