Job descriptionThe Employment Support Specialist will play a vital role in empowering adults with disabilities to achieve their full potential in the workplace. They ensure employment is a success for each employee by creating an individualized path to success and achievement. The Employment Support Specialist will work with a team to fulfill all aspects of the department. They must be passionate and able to thrive in an evolving atmosphere. Unlocking Potential : Assessing the strengths, vocational choices, needs, and skill development of each employee. Spending approximately 60% of your workday on the production floor, providing guidance and encouragement to employees as they work towards their goals. Collaborating with multiple departments and participating in morale-boosting programs and events to foster a supportive workplace. Developing personalized goals, documenting progress, and creating annual evaluation summaries for each employee. Supporting a case load of approximately 65 employees, making a meaningful impact in their lives. Ensuring all required documentation is meticulously maintained to meet our high standards. Referring employees to the appropriate service agencies to provide essential assistance. Positively responding to and providing appropriate intervention in challenging situations as they arise. Ensuring all safety requirements are met, including conducting safety trainings. Creating adaptability on the work floor to ensure the success of each employee. Maintaining open and effective communication with employees, families, guardians, and service providers. High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education or related field preferred. A minimum 2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities. Experience with CARF accreditation is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. LOCATION : St. Full Time SCHEDULE : Monday - Friday 7 : 00am - 3 : 30pm All Full Time Staff are entitled to receive benefits.
