Header Sub Arc Welder Pay Rate and Hours :
- 26 / hr
- Hours : Hours : Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 5 : 00 am to 5 : 30 pm
Header Sub Arc Welder Experience
Position header at machine clamping using an overhead or jib craneTurn cranks or push buttons to align the electrode on the welding head over the weld jointAbility to load a reel of electrode wire onto the machine and thread electrode wire from the reel through the feed rolls and welding headTurn the welding head to set the specified angle of the electrodeFill the hopper with specified flux and direct the nozzle or gravity feed over the weld lineTurn knobs to set current, voltage, and slope, and synchronize feed of wire and flux with speed of welding actionAbility to observe meters and gauges along with observing the weld action for compliance with proceduresVisually examine welds for adherence to specifications; grind welded surfaces as neededAbility to operate pneumatic and electric grindersAbility to use and utilize levelsAdjust the machine setup to vary the size, location, and penetration of the beadLayout, fit, and tacking the work pieces togetherPreheat work piece with hand torch or heating furnaceRemove surplus slag, flux, and spatterAbility to remove metal with carbon arc gouger to make repairs if necessaryMaintains production record of parts and jobs fabricated as required by the Department ManagerRegular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on–site, ability to work overtimeAbility to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive managementAbility to perform multiple tasks concurrentlyAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to interchange with others in the departmentHeader Sub Arc Welder Requirements
