About the job Medical Director Wound Care Center
Korzen Health is seeking a Medical Director for a Wound Care Center located in the heart of Syracuse, NY.
This position is based in our outpatient wound care clinic and is exclusively dedicated to procedural wound care. PRN shifts will depend on current provider availability / PTO. In general, Our standard work hours are daytime hours averaging around 40 hours per week. There are no night shifts, on-call responsibilities, holiday hours, or weekend hours. All patients are seen by appointment only; walk-ins are not accepted.
This is a procedure-oriented environment primarily serving geriatric patients. The successful candidate must be Board Certified / Board Eligible in their core specialty and possess a strong procedural background with recent experience. Experience with minor procedures such as suturing and incision and drainage (I&D) is required, and procedural case logs will be requested as part of the credentialing process. Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) Therapy training are available. A full clinical team will be in place from the start date.
Scope of Practice Highlights :
Full Team support includes Case Manager, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Nurses, Office Manager, and Front / Back End Support.
We offer advanced wound-care treatments to promote healing, including : Cellulitis therapy, compression therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, infection management and prevention, wound cleaning, and wound dressing.
This will be a Medical Director and Collaborative Role for our APRN that is on-site. You can work at the center on a PRN basis.
Education and Experience Requirements :
MD or DO degree
Must be Board-Certified
Clear and Active State Medical License and a DEA License
Benefits :
The compensation model will be a Medical Director Stipend + Collaborative Stipend + PRN Rate.
