Job descriptionPrepare individual short-form tax returns (1040) accurately and efficiently. Manage a high-volume workload of up to 1,000 returns during the tax season. Conduct in-person client appointments to gather information, review documents, and complete tax filings. Input, verify, and maintain tax-related data in the designated software system. Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and company policies. Identify potential tax credits and deductions to minimize client tax liabilities. Maintain confidentiality of all client information and documents. Provide excellent customer service and clear explanations of return details to clients. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in individual tax preparation is required. Proven ability to manage a high-volume workload during peak season. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Proficiency with tax preparation software. Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
