Overview : Our client, a well-established contractor, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in the Denver market. Job Duties and Responsibilities : Develop a strong understanding of mechanical system design. Provide design and engineering support for central plant upgrades. Identify and develop cost-saving opportunities and capital upgrades related to lighting, mechanical and electrical systems, energy management systems, water-consuming equipment and fixtures, and the building envelope. Create formal documentation such as memorandums, reports, and status updates, which are routine deliverables. Possess good knowledge of HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, air handlers, variable speed drives, motors, etc. and have a working knowledge of HVAC design. Education Qualifications : Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Professional certifications such as PE, CEM, CEA, CLEP, etc. Experience Qualifications : At least 5 years of relevant work experience. Highly developed interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills. Experience with the government contracting process and / or government sales cycle is a plus.
