Our client is a highly respected mid-size national law firm known for its sophisticated and impactful litigation work. With a strong presence across multiple offices nationwide, the firm represents clients in complex and high-stakes matters.

As the firm continues to collect accolades and recognition, it seeks a mid-level Litigation Environmental / Land use Attorney to join its dynamic litigation team. The Environment & Land Use Group works in a variety of sectors, including renewable energy, transit and transportation, regulated utilities, housing and commercial developments and public infrastructure. They represent both public and private clients in these areas. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to work on novel and cutting-edge cases in a collaborative and supportive environment.

The firm offers a hybrid work model in any of its office locations and is committed to associate development and advancement, contributing to low turnover. An excellent bonus structure is involved, including eligibility for annual bonuses, including a 15% performance bonus, and meeting billable targets.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Land use and environmental due diligence; land use entitlements and environmental / resource permitting; CEQA and NEPA counseling and compliance; and defense of zoning and / or environmental approvals in state and federal court.
  • Members of the Environment & Land Use Group also often work with other practice groups on major projects, including the Real Estate Group, the Eminent Domain & Inverse Condemnation Group, the Infrastructure Group and the Government Relations & Regulation Group.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure high-quality legal representation

Qualifications :

  • 2-5 years of experience of environmental land use with strong legal research and writing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently and work independently or as part of a team
  • Active membership in the California State Bar is required
