About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Development to spearhead its mission of fostering economic growth and development within the region. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading a strategic vision that harmonizes public mission goals with financial sustainability. This pivotal role involves managing a diverse portfolio, including large-scale real estate projects, public-private partnerships, and the operation of key public assets. The Executive Director will also be the primary liaison with a range of stakeholders, from private sector partners to municipal, state, and federal officials, ensuring the organization's continued impact and relevance. Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include engaging in public-private collaboration to align projects with regional priorities, securing and managing funding from various sources, and overseeing mission and project management across multidisciplinary operations. The role demands a leader with a strong background in commercial real estate, financial underwriting, and operational management, as well as superior communication skills and a proven track record in building and maintaining relationships with government officials. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least 10 years of management experience, and a focus on large-scale construction projects and public-private partnerships. A Master's degree and experience in strategic planning, team leadership, and urban economic development are preferred.
