Medical Laboratory Scientist

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Pay Range : $24 – $34 / hour (based on experience)

Position Summary

The Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) is responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory tests to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of patients. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine and complex laboratory testing in accordance with established protocols

Analyze and interpret test results with accuracy and timeliness

Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment

Ensure compliance with quality control standards and regulatory requirements

Document and report results using the laboratory information system

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care

Qualifications

Education : Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field

Experience : Minimum 1 year of MLS experience required

Certifications : ASCP or equivalent certification preferred

Other Requirements :

Participation in weekend and holiday rotations is required

No on-call or floating responsibilities.

• Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
