An established excavation and grading contractor in the Kansas City area is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a skilled operator who takes pride in precision work and wants to grow with a company that values professionalism, safety, and long-term employee success.

About the Role

We are looking for a dependable operator with strong finish grade abilities and experience working on excavation, grading, and site development projects. Candidates with Finish Grade Operator experience will be given top consideration. Foreman or supervisory experience is a plus and may lead to expanded leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, graders, loaders, and excavators
• Perform high-quality finish grading to meet project specifications
• Assist with site preparation, excavation, backfilling, and grading
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors
• Support field teams with various tasks as needed
• Provide guidance to laborers or operators if foreman experience is present
