Job Overview :
The Cashier greets guests and handles cash and credit card transactions appropriately and professionally. They are responsible for trash removal, weekly supply inventory, and balancing transactions with sales reports. They’ll ensure that the main dining area, dishwasher, and food service areas are cleaned, set up, broken down, and sanitized daily.

Essential Functions :
Assist in cleaning and sanitizing of work area and equipment, performs general routine cleaning duties and non-routine duties as directed
Maintain established policies and procedures, standards and practices in physical safety and food preparation such has HACCP, to achieve departmental objectives in high quality, nutritional meals, customer and patient safety
Sets up cash register. Receive bank count and place operating cash according to denominations into register. Operate register during meal periods. Ring up total charges, make change. Balance cash receipts, meal tickets and guest passes (must match register tapes). Set up bank in proper denominations for next shift
Stock the cafeteria with appropriate foods e.g. hot and cold foods, baked goods, beverages, desserts and condiments. Set up menu boards and reflect current menu. Work register, get customers through in a fast efficient manner. Listen to customers and communicates customer concerns to management
Wipe off counters and tables, arrange, and replenish items. Keep station neat, clean and fully stocked at all times. Keep dining room tables straightened and clean with salt and pepper shakers on each table. Clean and sanitize work area and all equipment. Collects, processes and disposes of trash, cans, bottles, recyclable to disposal area properly
