About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Mid-West Tennessee Chapter, with a focus on external community relations and mission capacity building. The successful candidate will serve as the primary liaison to the community, responsible for maximizing the organization's presence and connectivity. This role involves developing and managing sustained community relationships, including with local elected officials and key stakeholders, to ensure the capacity to achieve mission goals. The Executive Director will also be tasked with leading the chapter in supporting regional revenue targets, managing the chapter board, and influencing a team environment to effectively deliver the organization's mission. The position is not operationally focused and requires a professional with a strong background in community organization, public or business administration, or non-profit management.
Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a four-year college degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a Master's degree, and a minimum of 5 years of related experience. The role demands a proven track record in strategic relationship management, strong communication, and influencing skills, as well as the ability to develop and implement fundraising strategies. The ideal candidate will be proficient in MS Office, have a good understanding of employment laws, and possess the ability to work effectively in a team. The Executive Director will also be expected to travel within the region and may be required to support disaster responses nationally. A current valid driver's license and a good driving record are essential.
