- Control Systems Experience Strong background in software-centric control systems such as HVAC, engine, brake, or gas turbine systems.
- System Requirements Development Proven ability to develop and manage system requirements; experience with electronic engine control systems and tools such as Cameo is beneficial.
- Configuration Management Demonstrated expertise in rigorous tracking and management of complex systems and data configurations.
Position Overview
The Control System Engineer is part of the Software Systems Capability function. This role works closely with control system development engineers and airworthiness authorities to create certification deliverables that meet program and regulatory requirements. The position involves generating, validating, and maintaining certification artifacts across the full lifecycle of control and monitoring systems.Key Responsibilities
Capture evidence of requirement validation, use cases, design constraints, and quality, safety, and security attributes in certification work products.Collaborate with development teams to ensure alignment with certification plans, work product standards, and configuration management processes.Develop and manage methods for report generation to collect lifecycle data for delivery to airworthiness authorities.Implement improvements to certification documentation based on feedback from programs and regulatory stakeholders.Liaise with other engineering disciplines to understand relationships and dependencies among various lifecycle data elements.Qualifications and Experience
Experience in airborne system development and certification.Strong understanding of systems engineering and related technical disciplines.Proficiency in requirements management, design, and analysis tools.Ability to identify and communicate risks and concerns regarding product safety and compliance.Skilled at interpreting certification evidence and assessing correctness and completeness.Strong task management and communication skills, ensuring cross-functional alignment.Experience in preparing and sharing certification data with airworthiness authorities.Collaborative team player with the ability to source information and solutions from internal and external stakeholders.This is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
