Mercyhealth System in Rockford, IL. is currently seeking a board certified / board eligible  Plastic Surgeon to join our excellent team of collaborating Physicians! Hand Specialty a plus!

We provide over 125 specialty and sub-specialty services, including adult and pediatric critical care, neonatal intensive care, neurosurgery, heart and vascular care, cancer care, plastic and reconstructive surgery, Da Vinci robotic surgery, Watchman, and much more!

Enjoy the benefits of a highly skilled support staff, working amongst highly trained surgeons including but not limited to : general / trauma surgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, and much more.  Mercyhealth Javon Bea Hospital is a Comprehensive Stroke Center and an ACS designated Level I Adult Trauma Center, Level III NICU, with advanced operating and surgery suites, including hybrid operating suites that provide physicians with real-time radiographic capabilities while performing surgery all-in-one surgical suite.

• Craft YOUR practice! We support and promote the private practice model.
• Fully supported by sub-specialists and operational leaders.
• Must be willing to craft YOUR practice including multiple procedures and very little limitations. Bring your ideas!
• Newly remodeled clinic PLUS a NEW Cancer Institute opening late 2024!
• State of the art Surgery Suites and Admitting Hospital - Mercyhealth Javon Bea Level I Trauma Hospital (opened in 2019).
• Excellent support staff including Midlevel’s, RN, and experienced OR Surgical Team
• Typically, 4-4.5 days per week including clinic and surgeries.
• Flexible work life balance
• Vast multi-subspecialty referral sources onsite
• Types of cases include, but are not limited to; Hand, skin care, trauma, breast reconstruction, and esthetics.
• Currently, 90% of total cases are adults with less than 10% pediatric cases, which are predominately from trauma.
• Call : Two weeks per month
• EPIC EMR.
