Overview :

Morning Drive News Editor at KMOX, The Voice of St. Louis. We are seeking a news editor and writer for our fast-paced, iconic newsroom. As the News Editor, you will write and produce morning drive newscasts, guide enterprise reporting during live news programming, and write quick-turn stories in breaking news situations. You will collaborate with the digital team and edit / prepare content for publication across all platforms, including social media, on-air programming, and the website. The editor acts as the hub in the newsroom, prioritizing content based on real-time events during morning drive.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do :

• Manage the content of newscasts from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m.
• Coordinate breaking news and weather coverage.
• Continuously update copy and audio throughout your shift.
• Translate complex material into clear, understandable copy.
• Understand legal guidelines, FCC rules, and their application to your writing.
• Expertise in audio editing and social media is required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
