Job description

As a Data Entry Team Member – Virtual Tax Returns,you will play a critical role in preparing client files for review by licensed tax professionals. This position supports tax season operations by accurately entering and verifying tax data, managing client documents, and assisting with appointment scheduling and client communications. Accuracy, organization, and professionalism are essential to success in this role.

  • Schedule – Thursday & Friday ( Jan – April 15, 2026)
  • Job Type: Seasonal Position

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter and verify client tax data and supporting documents using UltraTax software
  • Upload, organize, and track client files within TaxDome
  • Schedule and manage client appointments using DaySmart
  • Provide professional customer service in person and over the phone
  • Address client inquiries, scheduling needs, and basic tax-related questions
  • Greet clients, answer phones, and assist with front-office communications
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with team members and supervisors
  • Review data for accuracy and flag missing or inconsistent information
  • Follow established workflows, confidentiality, and data security protocols
  • Assist with general administrative duties to support smooth tax season operations

Required Qualifications

  • Prior experience in tax data entry, administrative support, or customer service preferred
  • Working knowledge of UltraTax and/or TaxDome strongly preferred
  • Basic familiarity with DaySmart (training provided)
  • Strong customer service skills, including professional phone and in-person interaction
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, seasonal environment
  • Basic understanding of tax documents such as W-2, 1099, and Schedule C
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Comfortable working with cloud-based systems and digital document management
