Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commodity Derivatives Trader with proven expertise in the North American Power or Gas markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong history of delivering a minimum of $10 million in annual P&L through trading derivatives. This role offers significant autonomy and resources within a dynamic and performance-driven environment.

  • Identify and capitalize on trading opportunities in North American Power or Gas derivatives markets.
  • Conduct rigorous fundamental and quantitative market analysis to support trading decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with risk management, research, and operations teams to ensure optimal trade execution and risk control.
  • Monitor and adjust positions in response to market movements, regulatory changes, and risk considerations.
  • Continuously refine and improve trading strategies to maximize returns.

Minimum of 5 years of experience trading North American Power or Gas derivatives in a proprietary trading, hedge fund, or energy trading environment.

  • Proven track record of generating at least $10 million in annual P&L from trading derivatives.
  • In-depth knowledge of the North American Power or Gas markets, including supply / demand fundamentals, market structure, and regulatory dynamics.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and act on trading opportunities quickly and effectively.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to innovate and succeed in a competitive environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
