Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,442 per week in Amarillo, TX

Job Title : Step-down RN Profession : Registered Nurse Specialty : Step Down Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 Hours Experience : Minimum of 1 year experience required License : Active Registered Nurse License Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have : Epic experience within the last 6 months required Ability to work 2 out of 3 holidays if needed No travel pairs or groups 50-mile travel radius rule in effect Description : Seeking a Step-down RN for night shifts. The nurse-to-patient ratios will range from 1 : 4 to 1 : 6, depending on the patient assignment each shift. Experience with a charting system is required. Traveler must live at least 50 miles from the facility. Previous charge experience is preferred. The patient demographics include adults. Daily census on the unit is approximately 12-14 patients. Staffing includes support from Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, and other interdisciplinary teams. The unit will manage a mixture of medical / surgical and intermediate care patients. Essential skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, and central line care. Candidates should be familiar with telemetry and infection control measures. No local candidates will be considered.
