Summary
The Scheduler will report to the Scheduling Department within Heavy Civil Operations, supporting project teams by creating, updating, and managing bid schedules, baseline schedules, and monthly schedule updates.
Responsibilities
- Develop and secure approval for baseline schedules, incorporating field insights.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify risks and opportunities during planning and execution.
- Support monthly schedule updates, including actuals, plan revisions, and narratives.
- Ensure schedule quality, adherence to best practices, and contract compliance.
- Compile and report schedule data for operations management.
- Assist in delay or claim management using Time Impact Analysis.
- Create visual presentations using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Provide training on planning/scheduling practices and Primavera P6 software.
- Work with estimating and operations teams to develop bid schedules.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 3-7 years of field experience as a Field Engineer or Project Engineer in heavy civil or infrastructure projects.
- 2+ years of project scheduling experience.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 for schedule development and management.
- Strong knowledge of critical path methodology and milestone tracking.
- Skilled in building and managing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and activity coding in P6.
- Experience with Deltek Acumen Fuse is a plus.
- Federal and DOT project experience is a plus.
- Field experience in quantity tracking, cost control, forecasting, and schedule updates required.
- Proven ability to translate field conditions into realistic, actionable schedules.
