As an AP Specialist, you will be a vital part of our dynamic Accounting + Finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a vibrant and fast-paced environment, where you will play a pivotal role in managing and executing accounts payable procedures. The ideal candidate has a strong background in fashion, payroll, accounts receivable, invoicing, entries, ledger, and AP. This role is a full-time, permanent position that requires 5+ years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

1. Manage the full cycle of accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, payment preparation, and reconciliation of vendor statements.

2. Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, purchase orders, expense reports, credit memos, and payment transactions.

3. Maintain an organized and streamlined accounting system, including updating and managing the general ledger.

4. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to accounts payable.

5. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

6. Implement and maintain systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines.

7. Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal and external regulations.

8. Liaise with the payroll department to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.

9. Collaborate with the finance team to forecast and plan future purchasing costs according to fiscal needs.

10. Provide support during annual audits and tax preparations.

Job Details

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.

3. Proficiency in accounting software, MS Excel, and other financial management tools.

4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, data analysis, and forecasting techniques.

5. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

6. Experience in the fashion industry is a plus.

7. Ability to manage large amounts of data and compile detailed reports.

8. Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

10. High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
