Job Details

Responsibilities :

As a Senior Accountant, you will be expected to perform the following duties :

1. Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports and statements, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

2. Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.

3. Participate in the budgeting process, providing insights and forecasts to help the organization make informed financial decisions.

4. Perform month-end and year-end close processes, reconciling account discrepancies and preparing adjusting entries as needed.

5. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.

6. Assist in the development of financial strategies and long-term financial planning.

7. Provide training and guidance to junior accounting staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

8. Stay updated with industry trends and changes in accounting regulations, ensuring that the organization's financial practices remain compliant and efficient.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant position should have the following qualifications :

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.

2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role, with a strong understanding of GAAP.

3. Proficiency in accounting software, with a strong command of MS Excel.

4. Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.

5. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and understandable manner.

7. A strong ethical framework, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and integrity.
