GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION :
Prepare and process multiple college payrolls accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all employment laws and institutional guidelines. Provide responsive customer service to employees regarding payroll systems, procedures, and programs. Stay current with updates and enhancements to the payroll system to ensure continued accuracy and effectiveness.This position receives direction from the Chief Human Resources Officer and exercises no supervision.
NOTE : This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.

Knowledge of : 1. Federal, state, and local regulations related to payroll administration and employment practices; 2. Payroll principles, procedures, and reporting requirements; 3. Basic accounting methods and fiscal recordkeeping standards; 4. College or organizational policies governing payroll operations; 5. Modern office practices, equipment, and technology, including proficiency with computers and payroll software applications; Skills in : 6.Organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail; 7. Maintaining precise and confidential payroll records and documentation; 8. Analyzing data, identifying discrepancies, and applying problem-solving skills to resolve payroll issues; 9. Working collaboratively and effectively as part of a team; 10. Using sound judgment and maintaining professionalism when handling sensitive or stressful situations; Ability to : 11. Prepare, process, and maintain accurate payroll and related financial reports; 12. Communicate clearly and professionally in both oral and written form; 13. Apply payroll policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements accurately and consistently; 14. Adapt to changing priorities and maintain efficiency in a fast-paced environment; 15. Work independently with minimal supervision while ensuring a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
WORKING CONDITIONS :
Sedentary-Desk work; occasional field trips e.g. for college or program activities. Minimal Hazard / Exposure-Standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls are in place to assure health and comfort.
QUALIFICATIONS :
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
Education : Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. (A minimum of 60 college credits plus relevant work experience may be substituted for required degree)
Experience : Three or more years of professional work experience in an accounting or payroll office
