The salary range for this position is $91,727.00 to $147,388.89. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band / level, whichever is greater.

Travel within the tri-county vicinage will be required. This position may be reassigned to another county within the vicinage. Every applicant should be aware that if selected for this position, you must be prepared to work in the counties of Cumberland (Bridgeton, NJ), Gloucester (Woodbury, NJ), and Salem (Salem, NJ) as needed. The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access. Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position.

Vicinage 15 Cumberland / Gloucester / Salem Counties is seeking a highly organized individual to coordinate and supervise the daily activities associated with both petit and grand jury operations. Under the general direction of the Court Executive 2B (Operations Division Manager), the selected individual will ensure that all jury management processes comply with applicable laws, court rules, and administrative directives. Key responsibilities for this position include supervising the full scope of jury operations, which involves sending and processing jury summonses and orders as well as managing juror qualifications, disqualifications, exemptions, and requests to be excused or deferred. This role requires maintaining active daily communication with judges and court staff to accurately assess and meet daily juror needs. Conducting juror orientation sessions is an important aspect, ensuring that Judiciary policies and procedures are clearly explained, along with managing routine public speaking engagements for jurors, staff, and senior leadership. The position involves responding to inquiries from judges, court staff, jurors, complainants, and the public, as well as planning and analyzing both immediate and long-term jury requirements in collaboration with judges and management. Additional duties include monitoring and managing the jury operations budget; preparing and analyzing technical, statistical, case processing, and financial reports related to jury operations for senior management; and ensuring operational compliance with relevant laws and Judiciary policies, including ADA compliance. Reviewing court activities for compliance, consulting with judges, attorneys, and law clerks, and evaluating case management systems are also fundamental responsibilities. Maintaining accuracy and efficiency by leveraging technology in jury operations is essential. The position further involves advising senior management on personnel matters; conducting or arranging staff training; communicating human resources policies and regulations; interviewing and selecting job applicants; and providing mentoring and coaching to team members. Supporting additional operational areas such as facilities, fleet management, security, and ADA accommodations may be required. The incumbent may also be assigned other related duties, as necessary. Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position.

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and three years of professional administrative experience, one of which shall have included experience in purchasing, facilities management, operations, health and safety, jury management, interpreting services, courtroom technology, transcript services, records retention, video conferencing, and / or statistical reporting. Substitution : Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits. An associate's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of additional professional experience may be substituted for the required bachelor's degree. A master's degree from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of experience as indicated above -OR- a law degree from an approved American Bar Association law school may be substituted for two years of experience as indicated above. Degrees conferred outside of the United States must be evaluated by a recognized evaluation service.

Driver's License : Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position. Authorization to Work : US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations. Any person may request an exemption from that requirement from the Employee Residency Review Committee in the Department of Labor & Workforce Development on the basis of either hardship or employer critical need.
