Job Description

Steel Fabricators looking for an awesome Crane Operator for the plant operations to join our dynamic team in Fort Lauderdale! Get ready to master the skies as you take control of impressive lifting equipment while keeping safety as your #1 priority.

Operate a crane to lift and move objects

Inspect crane equipment and carry out some maintenance

Move the crane into the correct position and attach and secure loads using the correct equipment

Bind and secure loads to cranes

Inspect machinery and equipment to make sure they function properly

Follow safety guidelines and protocols

Maintain a maintenance and activity log of items moved

Support other crane operators as necessary

Inspects crane for defective parts and notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of verifiable experience operating various types of cranes
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferrable OSHA safety certifications
• Demonstrated knowledge of crane safety protocols and load charts
• Strong understanding of rigging procedures and equipment
• Excellent spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with team members
• Clean safety record and reliable work history
• Able to lift 50 pds
