We're excited to welcome a per diem Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to our Inpatient Gastroenterology / Nutrition Service . Role Overview :

This role is to help cover our inpatient and outpatient nutrition service, autonomously managing patients on Total Parenteral Nutrition. The i deal Candidate will have previous inpatient GI and / or TPN experience.

Key Qualifications :

Graduate from an accredited PA program

NCCPA certification

Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure

A minimum of 2 years of related experience as a PA is preferred

BLS certification

OR

Current New York State (NYS) RN and FNP licenses / registrations

Master's degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)

3+ years of related clinical experience

Related National NP certification

BLS certification

Core Skills :

Gastroenterology experience is essential; desired candidate will have experience managing TPN

Skilled at anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders

Resourceful, with a strong ability to secure and utilize resources efficiently

Clear and effective communicator across all levels

Personable and able to build rapport with diverse groups

Flexible and adaptable, adjusting approach and demeanor to meet evolving demands in real time

Additional Information :

Location : Main hospital campus, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY

Hours : Per Diem as needed, hours available Monday-Friday, ten-hour shifts; no weekends or holidays

Reporting to : Associate Director, APP

Pay Range : $88 / hr.
