Currently seeking Psychiatrists for a long term contract position at the VA in New Orleans, LA. We are looking for BC / BE Psychiatrists to provide mental health therapy, assessments, and medication management services via in-person or telemedicine appointments. Ideally, candidates will possess 1-3 years of experience within the last 5 years.

Operating hours :

Monday through Friday : 7 : 30am - 4 : 00pm

Rotating call schedule for nights and weekends

Compensation for the Psychiatrist - Locum Tenens - In-person or Telemedicine :

Salary : $200 / hour

1099 employment

Responsibilities of the Psychiatrist - Locum Tenens - In-person or Telemedicine :

The psychiatrists will provide acute, rehabilitative and long-term treatment for Veterans.

The psychiatrists will also perform assessments of the physical, psychological,

emotional and social needs of individuals who are experiencing psychosis, anxiety,

depression, behavioral aberrations, medically caused mental status change, and

substance abuse issues

Requirements of the Psychiatrist - Locum Tenens - In-person or Telemedicine :

Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible

ANY state license allows you to practice in all VA facilities
