Description

The AIM Data Analyst will support the Artist Innovation Mentorship program evaluation efforts by collecting, organizing, and analyzing qualitative data to measure shifts toward a growth mindset as a result of participation in an art-centered out-of-school program. The primary data source consists of images drawn by participants in response to verbal prompts. The AIM Data Analyst will be responsible for data management, coding and analysis, and producing reports for internal and external stakeholders. This role requires both analytical and organizational skills to develop systems that enable pre- and post-program comparisons. This position will have a one-year contract with an option to renew annually based on performance and funding. This part-time position averaging 24 hours per week is a limited term position running through June 30, 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Data Management :

Develop and maintain a database to track qualitative data by residency site, residency date, participant age / grade, and county.

  • Ensure data organization allows for accurate pre / post comparisons at both individual and group levels.
  • Coding and Analysis :
  • Develop a codebook with operational definitions for analyzing participant drawings.

  • Create a guidebook to standardize coding procedures for future analysts.
  • Conduct qualitative data coding and organize findings for further analysis.
  • Reporting and Insights :
  • Produce an annual report summarizing findings by residency site and county.

  • Identify overall trends and provide a summative analysis of pre / post changes across the program.
  • Present insights in a clear and actionable format for stakeholders.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in education, psychology, social sciences, data analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with qualitative data analysis, including coding and thematic analysis.
  • Familiarity with growth mindset research or education-based assessments is a plus.
  • Proficiency in data management tools (Excel, Airtable, or qualitative coding software).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines while collaborating with a team.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 20lbs.
  • Must be able to work onsite and remotely.
