Emergency Medicine Physician (Locums)

Are you a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician seeking a dynamic locum tenens opportunity? Our facility near Port Charlotte, Florida, is looking for experienced providers to join our team on a temporary basis.

About the Position :

Fast-paced environment : Expect a high volume of patients requiring immediate care.
Comprehensive care : Provide a full range of emergency medical services, from triaging and stabilizing patients to managing complex cases.
Collaborative teamwork : Work closely with nursing staff, other physicians, and support personnel to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

ED Features :

High patient volume : Approximately 18,000 patient visits annually.

Dedicated resources : A 13-bed emergency department staffed with skilled professionals.

Physician-led care : Single physician coverage during both day and night shifts.

Advanced practice provider support : Collaborate with experienced advanced practice providers for enhanced patient care.

Focused care : A dedicated senior emergency room for specialized patient needs.

Efficient workflow : Utilize the MEDHOST electronic medical record system for streamlined documentation.

Ideal Candidate :

Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)

Current ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications

Proven ability to handle high-pressure situations with composure and efficiency

Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
