Job Title : Cath Lab Tech Profession : Radiology / Cardiology Specialty : Cath Lab Tech Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift : 10 Experience : Minimum of 2 years required License : Valid state license required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, ARRT Must-Have : Epic experience required Description : The Cath Lab Tech works in the cardio-endovascular catheterization laboratory. This position involves monitoring and scrubbing during various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The tech assists physicians, radiologic technologists, cardiovascular technologists, and nurses. The goal is to ensure efficiency while maintaining a customer-friendly environment in the laboratory. Required qualifications include BLS and ACLS certifications. Candidates must hold a current ARRT credential prior to the start of employment. Experience in cardiac and interventional radiology is required. The tech will perform a range of procedures, including but not limited to : - Accessing and managing ports, angiography, and angioplasty. - Catheter / drain exchange, central venous access, and chest tube placement. - Hemodynamic monitoring, IABP placement, and Impella insertion. - Interpretation of dysrhythmias and maintenance of equipment. The tech is expected to maintain a sterile field during procedures. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias. Flexibility to float within the facility or to nearby affiliate hospitals may be required.
