Location : Lexington, KY (40536) – Kentucky nursing jobs

Assignment Type : Travel Operating Room RN

Healthcare Setting : Level II Trauma Operating Room

Start Date : January 13, 2026

End Date : April 21, 2026

Contract Duration : 14 weeks

Shift : Day shifts, 3x12-hour (07 : 00 – 19 : 30)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend Coverage : Every other weekend, possible weekends

Call : No late stay, no call (possible 2 late stays per week for 2 hours past shift)

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2000 - $2050 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of recent Operating Room RN experience

Level II trauma experience required; Level I trauma experience preferred

Ability to circulate a variety of surgical cases, including trauma

BLS certification required

CNOR certification preferred

Experience with Epic charting system

Active Compact or Kentucky RN license required

COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical / religious exemptions considered)

Reference from a charge nurse or supervisor required

Local travelers within 75 miles not accepted

Must be eligible for rehire if previously employed at this facility

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Circulate and assist in diverse surgical procedures : trauma, transplants, oncology, cardiac, vascular, neuro, ortho, GYN, urology, pediatrics, plastics, ENT, OMFS, thoracic, and more

Deliver patient care across all age groups : neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams

Maintain strict infection control, safety, and specimen handling standards

Float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed

Participate in orientation and annual competency modules
