System Support Engineer / Technical Support Engineer

Job Title : System Support Engineer / Technical Support Engineer
Location : Springfield, NJ
Salary : $75,000 – $90,000+ bonus
Work Hours : Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
Industry : System Solutions Company
Travel Requirement : 15-25%

We are working with a well-known system solutions company based in Springfield, NJ region. They are looking to recruit an experienced System Support Engineer working in office Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm. The successful applicant will benefit from a salary ranging from $75,000 - $90,000 dependant on experience

Duties and responsibilities as a System Support Engineer :

Troubleshooting and repair of SCADA and DCS systems

Diagnostic testing and repair of tone telemetry

Develop improvements for the performance of SCADA system software

Perform startups, system installation work and training

PLC, HMI and GUI development - RSLogix5000, TIA Portal, WonderWare, iFix, and FactoryTalk View

Adhere to ISO9001 procedures and standards

Prepare trip and expense reports

Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and interconnection diagrams

Providing telephone and technical assistance

Liaise with personnel in Engineering Department in the final test and acceptance

Write up documentation of configuration changes, issues found and action taken

Skills and experience required as a System Support Engineer :

Strong troubleshooting SCADA ability

PLC, HMI / GUI Development

The office is easily commutable from the following regions Chatham, Harding Township, New Providence, Newark and many more

This position may suit applicants from the following backgrounds : Field Service Engineer, PLC Engineer, PLC Technician, SCADA Engineer, Automation Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, SCADA Network Engineer, Network SCADA Engineer
