Regional Safety And Security Manager

Our Regional Safety and Security Manager will provide EHS leadership and technical expertise to Veritiv / OPS divisions in the region to ensure the protection and safety of Veritiv / OPS co-workers and the environment.

Job Responsibilities :

• Deliver oversight and guidance to the region on all matters related to safety and security.
• Requires in-depth knowledge of local safety regulations as they apply to manufacturing and warehouse settings.
• Partner with Regional Business Leaders to identify, prioritize and manage safety and security risks.
• Utilize experience and safety technical expertise to assist co-workers at all organizational levels with ad hoc problem-solving and issue resolution.
• Engage in open and honest dialogue with co-workers at all organizational levels to encourage a positive safety culture and establish a proactive approach of bring forward issues, concerns and suggestions.
• Conduct safety audits and inspections to monitor safety performance and compliance with standards.
• Prepare and maintain necessary documentation and reports.
• Provide and / or coordinates safety training.
• Ensure regulatory reports are completed and submitted in an accurate and timely fashion.
• Oversee incident investigations and partners with cross-functional team members to manage post-incident process.
• Collaborate with functional safety team to develop and continuously improve company safety policies, procedures and training programs.
