The Member Engagement Assistant is vital in building and sustaining the Girl Scout presence within our assigned market region. In collaboration with Community Engagement Managers, this position plays a critical role in driving membership growth by supporting the recruitment and retention of both girl members and adult volunteers. Your dependable nature will be essential as you assist with outreach efforts, coordinate event logistics, and manage volunteer communication and administrative tasks. To excel as a Member Engagement Assistant at Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois, candidates should possess a blend of skills and experience that align with our commitment to customer service. A minimum of 2 years of experience in outside sales or customer service is preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) or data tracking systems is essential for managing member interactions effectively. Strong understanding of customer service principles will enable you to build and maintain productive relationships within the community. Additionally, this role requires the physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for events and outreach activities. A valid drivers license, reliable transportation, and proof of vehicle insurance are necessary, as is a commitment to the mission and values of the Girl Scouts. Lastly, all candidates must be willing to become registered Girl Scout members to fully engage with our organization.
