Pay Rate : $14.25 / hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Rotate weekly through all of our Food and Beverage Outlets to develop a comprehensive understanding of varied service environments.
- Perform day-to-day tasks to support assigned Food and Beverage Outlet. This will include administrative tasks as well as hands on, operational duties.
- Complete special projects to support assigned area with meeting business needs while satisfying internship requirements.
- Work various special events, including parades, concerts, fairs and Island Impact events to assist with property needs and community outreach.
- Uphold operational standards and instill team coordination in a high-volume service environment.
- Work 3 - 5 special events, including parades, concerts, fairs and festivals to assist with property needs.
- Specific duties for each intern may vary and are intended to provide a well-rounded perspective to satisfy internship requirements.
KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and Certification
Required :
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent experience
- Current enrollment in 2 or 4-year post-secondary educational program pursing a degree in a hospitality or related degree program
Preferred :
- Previous guest service experience
- Previous experience in a high volume Food and Beverage operation

- Treasure Island guest service training
- Any position-related training as determined by division director
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to walk and / or stand for long periods throughout the day
- Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend, kneel and stoop
- Must have the ability to independently lift up to 25 pounds on a frequent basis
- Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
- Must have good eye hand coordination
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Work may be performed throughout the property (indoors and outdoors) including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
- Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
- High volume direct public contact
