Job Summary :

The Director of Business Development is responsible for driving growth and expanding referral sources for the homecare agency. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, social workers, discharge planners, case managers, insurance providers, and community organizations. The goal is to increase patient admissions, grow brand awareness, and strengthen the agency's position in the competitive home care market.

Key Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Identify, develop, and maintain strategic partnerships with healthcare professionals, hospitals, rehab facilities, nursing homes, assisted living centers, and community organizations.
  • Conduct outreach and marketing visits to referral sources to promote agency services and programs.
  • Represent the company at networking events, health fairs, community forums, and industry conferences.
  • Track and analyze referral trends and market activity to adjust business strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth patient onboarding and high-quality care delivery.
  • Follow up with referral sources regularly to ensure satisfaction and address any service concerns or barriers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of referral contacts, interactions, and follow-ups in the tracking system.
  • Develop marketing materials, presentations, and outreach campaigns to enhance visibility and attract referrals.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market changes to identify new opportunities for agency growth.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly referral and admissions targets.
  • Provide weekly reports to leadership on progress, challenges, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, healthcare administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing in the home health care, hospice, or healthcare sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, CHHA, NHTD / TBI waiver programs, and managed long-term care (MLTC).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for fieldwork.
