SUMMARY : The Surgical Technologist plays a vital role as a key

member of the surgical team, serving as the primary scrub

technologist during procedures. This individual is responsible for

preparing, organizing, and managing surgical instruments, supplies,

and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations. The Surgical

Technologist maintains strict adherence to sterile techniques and

demonstrates continuous attention to preserving the integrity of

the sterile field throughout each procedure. RESPONSIBILITIES :

Maintain a minimum of 15 Continuing Medical Education hours

annually.

• Prepare and check instruments, equipment, and supplies

for surgical procedures.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : Candidates must meet one of the following

requirements :

Surgical Technology program and obtain certification through a

nationally accredited credentialing organization within 12 months

of graduation.

nursing.

proof of at least one year of employment as a surgical technologist

in a healthcare facility between December 31, 2010, and December

31, 2014.

from an accredited program and obtain certification through a

nationally accredited credentialing organization within 24 months

of hire. New Graduates : - Official transcript from accredited

school or letter emailed directly from the school's registrar's

office confirming program completion will be accepted upon

graduation. - Primary source education verification required within

90 days of start date. EDUCATION : LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS :

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds

of force occasionally, and / or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently,

and / or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly

to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

Rochester POSTAL CODE : 14621 The listed base pay range is a good

faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful

full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible

for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors

including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal
