Responsibilities
- Collaborate with attorneys to prepare case files and supporting documentation for court, including drafting motions, exhibits, and briefs.
- Monitor and manage court deadlines to ensure all filings are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
- Conduct client meetings to gather information, and supporting evidence, and ensure all necessary documents are prepared for submission.
- Review, organize, and maintain case-related evidence, documents, and exhibits for court proceedings.
- Communicate with clients in both English and Spanish to provide case updates, request additional information, and address inquiries.
- Maintain organized case files-both electronic and physical-in compliance with firm policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Must be proficient in SpanishLegal research and legal document drafting experience is criticalComputer proficient - specifically with case management software, word processing, and spreadsheet presentationPrevious case management process experience is needed - preferably as a personal injury case manager, or related jobs such as paralegal, legal secretary, or legal assistant at a law firm, non-profit, or human services agencyHigh school diploma is required - 2-year degree and Paralegal certification are acceptable, but a Bachelor's degree is preferredAbility to multitask and stay self-motivated
