About The Position

Join a high-performing Cardiothoracic Surgery team in Atlantic City, NJ, where your expertise is urgently needed!  We’re seeking  experienced Physician Assistants (PAs)  for  inpatient coverage  in a hospital-based setting. This is a  high-impact locum opportunity  offering  $140 / hour ,  comprehensive malpractice coverage , and  mileage reimbursement .

📍  Location :  Atlantic City, NJ

🗓  Assignment Dates :  ASAP – October 2

💲  Pay Rate : $140 / hour

📋  Malpractice + Mileage :  Covered

👨‍⚕️  Key Responsibilities :

First assist in cardiac surgeries

Rounding (ICU & floor), consults

Coordination of care & treatment planning

Order / interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications

Perform procedures including :

Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH)

Chest tube insertions

Retrieval of vascular tissues

Suture removal

📅  Schedule :

Varied weekday, weekend, and night call coverage

Operate on ~2 patients / day; round on 5–12 / day

💻  EMR :  Cerner

🏥  Trauma Level :  Not a trauma center

✅  Requirements :

Active  NJ PA license

NCCPA certified

2–3+ years of Cardiothoracic Surgery experience

Proficient in  Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH)

BLS and ACLS  certification

Cerner EMR experience –  preferred
