The Configuration and Document Control Specialist oversees configuration management and document control processes for the Teledyne FLIR Detection site in Stillwater, OK. The role ensures accurate configuration identification, change control, documentation integrity, version control, and baseline tracking. This specialist also facilitates the Change Control Board (CCB) and upholds industry best practices for configuration and documentation management across engineering and product lines.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage configuration management activities according to program requirements and Statements of Work.Develop and maintain Configuration Management Plans , ensuring compliance across programs.Identify products and track product configuration documentation, including requirements, ICDs, engineering drawings, and build / test procedures.Manage technical baselines (functional, allocated, and product).Maintain centralized problem reporting and change request systems supporting change control processes.Facilitate the Change Control Board (CCB) with internal stakeholders and external customers when required.Track configuration status, monitor approved changes, and oversee baseline updates.Manage documentation operations including storing, updating, distributing, and retaining controlled documents.Ensure drawings and documents are maintained at correct revision levels.Implement document procedure improvements and manage site documentation repositories.Apply redline changes to drawings and coordinate with engineering management.Support export control assessments and documentation as needed.Perform additional duties as assigned by engineering leadership.Required Experience :
U.S. citizenshipBachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferredFamiliarity with mechanical and electrical engineering drawing practicesKnowledge of DoD programs and U.S. Government change processes (ECPs, etc.) preferredExperience facilitating configuration change processes or CCBsExperience with software configuration management preferredFamiliarity with export controls and jurisdiction / classification documentationExperience with EPDM, SolidWorks, SAP, or revision control systems preferredAbility to work closely with engineering and program managersStrong communication skills, including the ability to communicate with leadershipAbility to obtain a DOD Secret clearanceNice-to-Have Experience :
Experience working in defense, aerospace, or government contractingPrior experience supporting engineering change processes at scaleFamiliarity with product lifecycle documentation and technical data packagesRequired Skills :
