Position : Construction Inspector (All Levels)

Summit Design and Engineering Services (office in South Boston, VA) is recruiting for Construction Inspectors to inspect all phases of construction on highway construction, bridge and maintenance projects located in the Hampton, VA area.

Responsibilities :

• Act and make decisions independently for routine project issues
• Foster a partnering relationship with contractors, the general public, and other project stakeholders
• Train and supervise trainee inspectors
• Monitor the work of contractors to ensure quality control and contractor compliance of moderate complexity under the supervision of senior inspectors
• Perform daily record keeping of project activities
• Prepare monthly project estimates
