Operating Room RN Job Details

Location : Fort Worth, Texas 76104 (Texas nursing jobs)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Healthcare Setting : Acute Care Hospital, Surgery Unit (17 beds including CVOR and Transplant)

Shift : 12 Hour Days (6 : 30 AM – 7 : 00 PM)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1570 - $1680 per week

Call Requirements : One weekday per week and one weekend per month (weekend call is 24 hours from Friday 3 PM to Monday 7 AM)

Employment Type : Travel nursing assignment

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Texas RN License (no temporary licenses)

BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification required

Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience in an acute care hospital

Strong neurosurgery experience (85% spine, 15% brain cases)

Robotic surgery experience preferred

Experience with Meditech documentation system preferred

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in the Operating Room, ensuring safety and comfort during surgical procedures

Assist with high-volume general and neuro surgeries, including craniotomies, orthopedic, robotic, urology, plastic, heart, and transplant procedures

Collaborate with surgical techs and multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes

Float to other hospital units as needed per policy

Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Meditech

Demonstrate compassion, professionalism, and strong communication skills

Adhere to hospital dress code and appearance standards (facility-provided scrubs, no artificial nails, neat hair, covered tattoos, limited visible piercings)
