Nurse Assistant Cardiac Telemetry Unit - 36 Hour Midnight Shift

Nursing Assistant

Under the direction and supervision of the responsible Registered Nurse (RN), performs specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs of the patient. Provides input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care. Responds to emergent situations according to established procedures. Recognizes and participates in own continuing education. The Nurse Assistant follows the Henry Ford Health System Team Member Standards of Excellence in all interactions.

These duties may include but are not limited to :

• Blood draws
• Vitals
• Performs venipuncture and chemsticks
• Team roundings
• Identifies concerns related to patients, staff, and self, and communicates with the responsible RN

Unit Description : 40 bed unit This unit is a Cardiac Telemetry. Takes rapid responses from other units within the hospital. Post cardiac intervention pts, AICD / pacemakers insertions, cardiac ablations, watchmans. Chest pain, STEMI / NSTEMI pts, cardiac gtts. All staff ACLS certified.

Shift : 7 : 00pm to 7 : 30am
