Instructional Designer

This is a hybrid role requiring two days in the office per week. You must reside within driving distance of our corporate office in Costa Mesa, CA. This position involves developing engaging and interactive training content for multiple business lines and markets. What You’ll Do : Design content for online self-directed courses, virtual, and in-person instructor-led courses, including materials for participants and facilitators. Train employees during roll-out and provide train-the-trainer sessions for instructors. Participate in meetings with management and subject matter experts for needs analysis and content approval. Create training scope, project plans, and storyboards for curriculum design. Follow project plans with deadlines and keep the team informed. Analyze training impact by measuring results. Travel nationwide for 1-6 weeks at a time to support infrastructure expansion. Occasionally work evenings and weekends to complete projects. Observe field employees performing their duties occasionally. What You’ll Need : Strong presentation and facilitation skills for one-on-one and group settings. Basic understanding of adult learning theories. Basic understanding of instructional design methodologies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and self-manage. Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of multi-tasking. Ability to develop persuasive and influential content for effective learning. Research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Customer service, sales orientation, and commitment to quality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, PowerPoint, InfoPath). Knowledge of Microsoft Teams. Knowledge of Vyond, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Acrobat, Captivate), and Articulate Storyline is desirable. The starting pay range is $72,700 - $96,800. Full-time employees are eligible for an incentive program based on performance.
