Purpose Statement

The Maintenance Mechanic ensures the efficient operation of all plant equipment by performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic repair, as well as preventive maintenance.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

• Troubleshoot and diagnose all maintenance failures.
• Use assembly drawings, P&IDs, and manuals to tune equipment for operation.
• Apply electrical (VFDs, SCRs, motor starters) and logic (PLC, SLC) principles to solve equipment problems.
• Perform basic plumbing, metalworking, and general facilities / building maintenance as needed.
• Work with operating devices such as gauges, RTDs, pressure transmitters, I / Ps, and vortex flow meters.
• Train new associates and team members on required maintenance skills.
• Maintain work area in a safe and orderly fashion according to GMP and safety guidelines.
• Operate SCADA system and complete appropriate paperwork.
• Perform other related duties assigned by the Team Leader.
• Assist operations associates with basic equipment troubleshooting and production support.
