Travel Nurse RN - Pediatrics - $2,452 per week in Peoria, IL

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty : Pediatric Acute Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift : 12 hours Experience : 2 years License : Active IL license required Certifications : BLS, PALS Must-Have : - Pediatric nursing experience - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Description : The Pediatric Acute unit accommodates both medical and surgical patients. This unit shares its space with the Hematology / Oncology department. The unit has the capacity for a total of 32 beds, with flexibility based on census. Patient-nurse ratios are set at 4 patients per nurse. There is a Charge Nurse and administrative supervisor on each shift. Pediatric Crisis Nurse support is available 24 / 7. Patient Care Technicians are present with a ratio of 1 : 8-10. Hospitalist coverage is available in-house until midnight. There is 24 / 7 pediatric resident coverage for additional support. Registered Nurses are required to troubleshoot specific respiratory equipment. Monitoring of patients is managed by a dedicated Pediatric monitor tech. RNs work 12-hour shifts either from 0700-1930 or from 1900-0730. Weekend shifts will be scheduled every other weekend. Holidays are to be worked unless previously discussed. There is no mandatory call or standby requirement at this time. Floating to other pediatric units may occur as needed. Scrubs should be pediatric appropriate and not revealing. Orientation consists of two shifts, with the possibility of extension if required.
