SBU Driver Mechanic

The SBU Driver Mechanic performs vehicle mechanical work beginning with basic assembly and / or removal of parts, minor repairs such as replacing fuel systems, unit connections and other components.​

Duties increase with time and experience on the job. Most advanced work may include fabricating experimental parts and test fixtures and working from blueprints / drawings. Other responsibilities include driving test vehicles at various speeds on varying road conditions.​

Weekend overtime is required for this position.​
